Configuring Dalet 5.1e

Dalet 5.1e can output an XML file to your hard-drive, or network share. This is configured the Dalet.ini file.

Here’s how to setup this XML output in Dalet 5.1e:

  1. Open your Dalet.ini file in Notepad
  2. Find the heading [NAVIGATOR]
  3. Add the following text below the [NAVIGATOR] heading:
    RDSWriteCurrentAndNextItemToFile=1
    Path=C:\NowPlaying\onair.xml

    (You should change the path to a folder that exists on your computer or local network.)

  4. Restart Dalet
  5. Play a file in Dalet’s Navigator, and check your XML file is created and populated with the correct details

Configuring MetaRadio to talk to Dalet

  1. Open MetaRadio Config
  2. Add a New Station
  3. Select “Dalet 5.1” as the system type
  4. Enter the full path to your XML file onair.xml
  5. Save the Station Details and restart MetaRadio. You should see the full filename and track information displayed whenever the current on-air song changes.
